General Objective

     Create a digital set to match the image you chose from an existing CG movie. A natural phenomena (like Water, Wind, Rain, Snow, Dust, Fog etc.) needs to be added to the set and animated. An image sequence of 5 seconds needs to be rendered out and delivered as a movie file. Camera motion is not required. If you use compositing software for your final movie please submit both your project file (i.e. Maya file, Houdini file) and your comp file, plus a link to your blog where you describe the process using both screenshots and bullet points. Ensure that you clearly describe each individual’s contribution to the project.

Technical Specifications

Your movie should have a minimum length of 5 seconds at 30fps and should be at a minimum resolution of 720p, i.e. 1280 x 720. All models need to be SUB-D’s. The movie file should be a MPEG file either 2 or 4 at the highest quality you can render at. The original image is not be used at all in your project in any way other than serve as reference.
